web.xml cached?

Alberto Molpeceres

I'm trying to start jetty from ant, and it seems to work well... but I
can't deploy an application.

I had 2.4 schema-defined web.xml, but I got validation errors (web-app
tag not defined and so on). I noticed a messaged from my XML parser
like: "ADVERTENCIA: Schema validation may not be supported". So, I
changed my web.xml to a 2.3 DTD-based one. But the validation errors
from Jetty startup process still refers to the old one. Then I removed
the web.xml file, and still the same validation error about a file
that no more exists!!. Are this files cached?. If yes, where?. How can
I remove them?.

I'm running on Mac OS X Tiger, JDK 1.4.2, I have tested it with Jetty
5.1.4 and 5.1.5rc1, and my config   file is this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
 "-//Mort Bay Consulting//DTD Configure 1.2//EN"

<Configure class="org.mortbay.jetty.Server">

  <Call name="addListener">
      <New class="org.mortbay.http.SocketListener">
        <Set name="port">8080</Set>
  <Set name="WebApplicationConfigurationClassNames">
    <Array type="java.lang.String">

  <Call name="addWebApplication">
    <Arg><SystemProperty name="jetty.home" default="."/>/webapps</Arg>
    <Set name="defaultsDescriptor">org/mortbay/jetty/servlet/webdefault.xml</Set>

Thank you very much for your help.
