Summary: Jetty hangs , maybe AJP13 connector

Initial Comment:

Jetty 5.1.3 hangs a few times per week. I have to
restart it to make it work again. The memory
consumption is low. Maybe it has something to do with
mod_jk2. The AJP13 connector configuration is same as
in FAQ.

My application is using JettyPlus with JMX. Here is an
exception caught before that happens but NOT everytime
the problem happens , i dont know if it s related :

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Unknown version

PS : thanks for the good job, beside this problem ,
everything is fine.

Can you configure a second listener - a normal
SocketListener on 8080 (or some other port).    then when it
locks, can you see if you can access 8080 - this will tell
us a lot.

Also if you can run with JMX, then you will be able to
examine the threadpool of the AJP13 listener.

This is my http listener configuration :

  <Call name="addListener">
      <New class="org.mortbay.http.ajp.AJP13Listener">
        <Set name="Port">8009</Set>
        <Set name="MinThreads">10</Set>
        <Set name="MaxThreads">1200</Set>
        <Set name="MaxIdleTimeMs">30000</Set>

I increased the maxthreads value several times but it doesnt
help much.

When the problem happens I cant connect directly on the port
8009 (locally). It hangs apparently undefinitely. I guess it
s some kind of tuning problem.

JVM is Sun 1.5.0 (min heap size = 256M, max heap size = 512M)

Do you have a normal HTTP listener configured?
If so can you hit that listener and have it work?
This will tell us if it is AJP13 or Jetty in general.
