Re: SSL SocketListener do not start

Heiner Westphal
Markus,

my guess is that your linux box is waiting for enough entropy to return
to the JVM. This can take ages.
See http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4705093 for
details and a workaround.

Or search around with keywords /dev/random, ssl and hang :)

Jetty folks, should this become an FAQ?
It's no jetty issue, but many jetty users stumble into it.
I've been one of them :)
[Or IS it an FAQ already? I did not check.]

HTH,

Heiner

Re: SSL SocketListener do not start

Chris Haynes
In reply to this post by Grill, Markus
Whose brand of JVM is in use on your Linux distro? Sun or IBM?

Is it reasonably up-to-date?

Does it match the SSListener subclass you asking for in your config - there are
two versions Sun... and IBM...?
