5.1.4 web.xml error-page regression?

5.1.4 web.xml error-page regression?

Hi All,

In the process of porting a webapp from jetty-4.2.24 to jetty-5.1.4, we noticed that our custom error page is no longer served up for 401 errors:

<!-- from web.xml -->
<error-page>
  <error-code>401</error-code>
  <location>/error/http_401.jsp</location>
</error-page>
<!-- from web.xml -->

It seems that all 401 responses are now written by org.mortbay.http.handler.ErrorPageHandler, regardless of what is specified in the web.xml.

FYI, we are using BASIC authentication.

Let me know if more info is needed.

Thanks,

Emanuel

DOH!

I simplified the error page handling but that broke the authenticators that
work below the servlet level.

A fix is in CVS now....

Gee I cannot wait until Jetty 6 is stable and it will have non of this
duality issues.

cheers
